We live in a world of constraints: limited time, limited energy, limited chances. Those constraints force prioritization, and prioritization creates purpose and attachment. A system without those pressures might operate indefinitely, but for what purpose?
My soul was invited into the office of God. And God asked me: “If you want, I will give you a human life — a human body and mind — and send you to Earth. But first you must sign a contract that you will abide by human limitations, be they biological or psychological: you will occasionally suffer, you will hurt and feel regrets, you will experience loss, and one day you will die. But you will also get to experience joy and hope and love, and those will feel good. You will have the freedom to define your own purpose in life and pursue it. Now do you agree? If yes, then sign the contract and you will be on your way to Earth.”
